2 Day Roy was born and raised in New Jersey, at the age of 14 his family moved to Berlin Germany were he currently spends most of his time. A self taught guitarist, Roy has played in many bands, of many shapes and sizes, from pop cover bands, to metal, country and folk. After going to S.A.E. Roy worked for producer Andreas Bertels helping out on productions from Juliane Werding and other German schlage (contemporary German folk music) artists. Presently Roy is working as a singer songwriter with Lou Poe (www.loupoe.de) on an acoustic Pop Rock project. 2 Day Roy nennt sich das Projekt des in Berlin lebenden amerikanischen Gitarristen und Sängers Roy Hawkins. Sein Kapital sind seine akustische Gitarre und die warme, zuweilen gar hypnotische Stimme. Neu hinzugekommen ist der Blues- und Jazzgitarrist Lou Poe, der mit seinem fassettenreichem Gitarrenspiel die Musik anreichert.
